Automatic iron removal filter FFD/F , complete with coated steel vessel.

The internal lining is made with epoxy coated applied after sand blasting at the Sa3 of the Swedish scale; the external one in polyuretanic acid-proof painting applied after sand blasting as above. The vessels are complete of man-holes, plate with a proper quantity of filter-nozzels made in polypropy­lene, for water distribution inside the filter.

The filter is equipped with nos 5 hydro-pneumatically controlled membrane (pneumatically controlled butterfly valves with actuator) valves, to divert the flows during the cycle of regeneration; the valves are interconnected in a manifold mounted on the front of filter vessel.

The media filter includes a layer of special oxiding media, supported by a layer of selected quartz-sand, spheroidal type. A chlorination of raw water upstream of filter is required for a good working of the system.

Two pressure gauges, plumbed on inlet-outlet line, allow to check the pressure drop, while an adjustable gate valve on drain lay allows to ajust the drain flow rate.

Fully automatic control by electronic programmer, according to the following modes :

FFD/FT according to (adjustable) time schedule

FFD/F-DP according to pressure drop and/or time schedule.

Dual models : two filters installed on parallel and both on service in the same time. The regeneration, by time (FT) or by pressure drop (F–DP) is featured on one filter at a time. This arrangement allows to reduce the backwashing flow rate required.
