Automatic softener Nobel Mod. AM/D Duplex
The described softener is automatic, dual system, alternating working (1 column always in service, one column on regeneration or stand-by), via volume control.
The start of the regeneration of the exhausted column and the exchange of working between the columns works automatically; after the regeneration, fully automatically controlled, the systems turns the regenerated column in stand-by position.
The vessels are equipped with INLET – OUTLET manifolds, including nos. 6 hydro-pneumatically controlled membrane valves, to divert the flows during the several cycle of regeneration.
An adjustable drain valve is mounted on drain line, in order to adjust the backwash flow rate; the membrane valves are driven by the control board, via pilot solenoyd valves.
The drawing of brine for regeneration will be made by injectors, automatically from the brine tank . The vessels are made in coated carbon steel. The internal lining is made with epoxy coated applied after sand blasting at the Sa3 of the Swedish scale; the external one in polyuretanic acid-proof painting applied after sand blasting as above. Each vessel is complete of man-holes, plate with a proper quantity of filter-nozzels made in polypropylene, for water distribution inside the filter. The manifolds are made with galvanized steel, external coated as above. The membrane valves are made in cast-iron, with membrane in EPDM. The brine tank are made in polyethilene, complete with separation plate, float valve, protection pipe.
The media filter includes a layer of food grade ion exchange resins, strong cation type, NaCl regenerated, supported by a layer of selected quartz-sand spheroidal type.
The automatic facilities include the control panel with electronic programmer, the pulse sender water meter, solenoid valves, membrane valves.
The control panel, complete with electronic computerized programmer, allows to schedule the regeneration according to the following modes:
- volume only (factory set)
- delayed volume (volume/time)
- time only (time of day)
- time (numbers of hours of service)
- delayed time (numberrs of hours of service and time of day)
- manual (push-button)
It is also allowed, in case of maintenance operation on one column, to keep on service the second column only, with same working mode explained above.
The electronic programmer, with visualization of the supplied volume of treated water, is complete with buffer battery to keep the memory in case of power failure.
The following features are also available (by mean of the terminal box of the programmer)
- controlling a chlorination system CL180i
- inhibiting the starting of regeneration, from remote
- driving the supply of treated water (start/stop according to 2 level switches)
- inhibiting the supply of water, from remote
- free voltage contact available for signal of running service column A
- free voltage contact available for signal of running service column B
- free voltage contact available for signal of running regeneration
